Travel

My most recent trip went to Scotland together with my girlfriend Auste (with small detours into England). It took place during Aug 26 to Sep 10 1996.

Before that I've recently take some trips to Balticum.

In the summer 1995 Auste and I went to Norway, visiting Bergen, Rjukan etc. It was Auste's first visit to this great country, but for me it was a happy return. (I actually found my own, more than twenty years old, autograph in some guest book. :-)

From mid November to mid December 1994 I visited Central America.

In the summer of 1993 I was in Indonesia, taking a look at Bail, Lombok and Java.

Apart from that I've also visited Denmark and Finland a few times. I've also spent some time in Greece, England and Wales. During my time at Saab Ericsson Space I worked one month in Paris, and that was a nice change.

I've also been to Holland, Italy, Austria, Germany and Tenerife a maaany years ago...

Obviously, I've seen certain parts of Sweden too. There's still very much left to discover though.

There are also many other places I'd like to visit. Eufrat and Tigris is the cradle of our civilization, and there is so much in that part of the world I would like to see, as well as Egypt and some asian parts of the former Soviet Union for instance. I guess that will have to wait until it is politically very different from today though...

From a modern Swedish point of view USA somehow seems more like a cultural origin though. We get so much of literature, movies, TV, music, software etc from the big place in the west. It also seems to be a very odd world in many ways. Very familiar and very strange at the same time. Somehow I feel that I owe USA a visit... I have so many opinions and ideas - a lot of prejudism you might say, and I should try to find out how it really is...

I'd also like to return to Asia, maybe visit Thailand and Malaysia?

I've never set my foot on the African continent either... That would be very exiting too...
