I had written this long text about computers, and then I tried this silly shell command stunt on it which reduced the file size to 0. And real men don't make backups, right? I still like Unix though. :-) I know that was my fault. Unix only does bad things when I am stupid enough to tell it to do something bad.
Windows is totally unpredictable, and might attack you at any time -
like a mad dog or something like that. No, I prefer my computer to be
.
Unfortunately I'm doing most of my work with Windows 95 and NT.
Right now I only run Linux on a noisy old 386/SX with 8MB RAM, and
a total of 60MB good old XT hard disks. That's noing to change very
soon though. I'm planning to have both Linux and FreeBSD installed
on a new PC with a bit more capacity very soon.
Basically, I like doing things with computers, at work as well as on my spare time. They make it possible for me to do things I could never do otherwise. I mean, my handwriting is dreadful, but my HTML files are hopefully not so bad. I just made my first ray-tracing images, using POV Ray, which is a program in my taste. (I like programs that uses text files as input.) The result of my first ray-tracing is bronze links for my link page. It's at least terribly much better than anything I could paint or draw by hand...
