Frederick Somerville Wav Page

I have made a couple of wav´s so that you can hear how my organ L - 100 P sounds.

The organ you hear is heavily modified run trough a Yamaha guitar amp and into a Leslie 145. (Yes the bass rotor slow speed is out of operation since the motor is to be repaired sometime within the next 200 years or so). I haven´t overdriven the amp in the L - 100 on this recording but it is a sweet sounding distorsion if used.

The chorus you hear is a Boss RCE-10 with the output taken from the B output. Taking the sound from the A output does not sound as good as using the B. I have no clue as to why. This excellent chorus unit (Half rack) emulates the sound of a scanner quite closely. It has a treble pot and if you turn it way up it resembles the treble increase of the scanner. It also incorporates and adjusteble predelay.

Modifications made

How my organ sounds

The recordings was made with one mike on the top rotor and a pzm mike on the floor. Bear this in mind when you listen. Better recordings will be provided in the future (100 years or so). Since my PC is a steamdriven 386 they where made with 16 bits at 16000 samp/s. I then mixed them togeter into a mono channel and resampled at 11500. They where saved in 8 bits to keep the size down.
